A COMFORTABLE RELIGIOSITY

Art Katz states that we have not only missed the cross in today’s culture, we have also missed the power of the resurrection. As a result we are living fleshly, sensual, and devilish lives rather than the triumphant-victorious life we have in Christ. This message is an appeal to turn back to Jesus as He actually is. http://ellerslie.com

Evangelism’s Motivation and Method

The Reason You Are to be a Witness

Most evangelism is done because we don’t want to see people die and go to hell. But if you evangelize with this primary motive, you are sharing your faith from a weak motive. You are doing evangelism for a far lesser reason than why Christ and the apostles evangelized. It is no wonder why so many of us are failing in sharing Christ with others.–> Click On Audio Below

Christians Cussing ? Movies or Music

Tim talks about three predominate errors that are being set forth when bringing up the issue of professing Christians using curse words or listening to music with profanity in it or movies. This is not A grey area it is sin A window to the heart. You can not listen and not be affected by it. This should not be allowed in the church it needs to be dealt with it is infectious.

Interview With the Seattle Seahawks Superbowl Champions

Leading up to the Seattle Seahawks 2014 playoff run,  Mark  sat down with a few  of the players and one of the coaches to talk about their lives and how it intersects with life on and off the football field.

In this video (part one in a forthcoming series), Russell Okung, Chris Maragos, coach Rocky Seto, and Russell Wilson answer the question: “Who is Jesus?”

The Voice of God

People and cultures throughout the ages have sought to hear the voice of God. Some have sought to hear God through weird transcendental meditative states. Some have sacrificed unto idols and the sun, moon and stars hoping that “the gods” would be pleased and communicate with them and bless them. Some have gone off to some cave, and come out proclaiming to have heard from God, and thus we have Islam, Mormonism and other such religions. It seems like we as humans have tried anything and everything to hear God’s voice. So, how does the Christian hear God’s voice? Are we left to rely on some inner train of spontaneous thoughts, and hope that one of them is actually God’s voice leading us? Do we over-spiritualize our words and just say “thus saith the Lord” even if we’re not sure that the Lord has thus said?! Here’s the miraculous reality, God has been and is always speaking to His people! How? Well, that’s what this message is all about!

Drinking and Christian Liberties

If all you are about is your Christian liberty and you don’t care what this does to somebody else, you are not loving. You are not really concerned about others, you are more concerned about how far you can live out on the edge. On the other hand, legalism will kill the church, it will cause biting and devouring, and people thinking they are superior to others.

Americanized

This is a study in the forceful and terrorizing grip that unmitigated self-appetite can have on both an individual life and the life of a society. To be American used to carry with it (whether it was deserving or not) the Puritan ideals of integrity, chastity, prudence, temperance, goodwill, generosity, and mercy. But times have certainly changed. Now, it appears that around the world today, the “American” is often known instead for their bizarre sense of entitlement and their strange brand of religion (oft misunderstood to be Christianity) that gives them a so-called “liberty” to live in a constant state of excess and self-seeking pleasure. And thusly, the once noble and honorable word “American,” has become a synonym for “Glutton.” Oh, for the Church of Jesus Christ to come out from among this and be separate.

THE SHORT GOSPEL VIDEO

The Essential Elements of the Gospel

Do you have the gospel that Jesus gave his life to establish? If life or death, heaven or hell is determined by the essential elements of the gospel, then it seems to be essential to know. In fact, it is an absolute necessity to know. In this session, the gospel that the Apostles presented at the expense of their lives was broken down and expounded by Pastor Michael Durham. There are some crucial elements being left out of most gospel presentations today–so crucial that without them a potential convert could be mislead.

About Face Prayer

This is a message that unlocks the art of praying in a very unique and stirring way. The answer for the Church is not in brainstorming solutions and in novel marketing campaigns – it’s in prayer. And prayer is enabled and empowered when one finds the “face of God.” This message is about seeking the face of God as a primary work and not as a last resort.

Can You Have A Truly Changed Life?

A New Beginning — Do you like to people watch? or look up into the universe! sometimes it can be pretty interesting. To see what people truly care about what brings them happiness. What makes up this thing we call life. What about when it all comes to an end. The things we enjoy do and Love are they only temporary. Do we just make the most of it, be good to others find happiness the best we can until life is over. The Bible claims to show us what life should be about and it’s answers give meaning beyond this short life we have on this earth. If it is right shouldn’t we look into it to see what it has to say. Shouldn’t we be familiar with it’s claims so that if it is right we don’t waste our lives. The Bible is the revealing of who God is through the person of Jesus Christ it’s his love letter to you. Telling you all the answers you need to know about. Who he is, who we are as his creation and what this life is really all about. In it you’ll find the answers to the deepest questions. But more importantly you’ll find the source of all life itself in the person of Jesus Christ. It’s not about religion , it’s about do you know this person?.
