Picture of spiritual warfare is looked at in the Book of Revelation when in the book we see War in Heaven (Rev. 12:7), the beasts and kings of the earth wage war against God’s people (Rev. 19:19), and a final battle ensues with satan and the nations of the earth against God Himself (Rev. 20:8).
The real armor used was a protective covering to prevent damage from being inflicted on an individual by direct contact weapons or projectiles, usually during combat, or from damage caused by a potentially dangerous environment. The armor of God in the Bibleis a metaphor for Christians (Ephesians 6:10-18) showing the spiritual battle and our protection we have available to us.
Romans 13:12 The night is almost gone, and the day is near Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
This Spiritual battle is us against any forces of darkness. The three enemies of the soul in our spiritual warfare are our flesh(sensual-carnal) evil withinthis earth(worldly), and the evil one(devil) the last two are without which are opposed and very hostile to God.
Thisevil age that we are in has its thoughts seeping into our minds and hearts in little ways, so we need discernment. God gives us great weapons against accusations or temptations. One is the Word of God, it lets us know who God is and truth. The lovely Holy Spirit will bring God’s truth to our minds when it is needed.
We can have victory over satan’s schemes(deceit and lies) by filling our minds with the truth of the Bible. The devil, demons are real constantly seeking to accuse, temptation and deception to bother you in your interactions, hiding
working to undermind with confusion, they work to undermine what God is doing through us but don’t live in fear. Enemy means: adversary, opponent or accuser that’s how he attacks you he also schemes which means he makes a strategy of attacks one after another.
The enemy can’t possess us or snatch us from Jesus but he wants to damage the relationship we have with God and lies continually. We do have authority over him in Christ even though he is stronger. We are called to be God’s holy people and to be separate for Him… and we should ask God for His wisdom. Specific passages describe the spiritual nature of these battles and help us understand how we experience them practically.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.Luke 10:19
2 Thessalonians 3:3
“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.”
What does it mean to submit to God and resist the devil?
It is said, “To submit to God is in itself resisting the devil…when we align our lives with God’s will, the answer is a growing resistance to devils temptations and he will lose his foothold and has to flee.” To think we can do it in our own strength is ridiculous we must resist humbly our lives and submit to God.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Submitting to God means elevating His Word above our own desires, yielding ourselves to God’s revealed will in the Scriptures, and desperately calling to Him in prayer to ask for “grace to help in time of need” in zealous pursuit of God and the presence of God.
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.
One thing is to resist the devil firm in your faith important in your battling and be calm and collected in attack and be aware.
1 Peter 5:8-9
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”
Who is it that overcame but Christ are you trusting that He overcame the world.
“I [Jesus] have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”We conquer through Christ ask Him to help you conquer every day through trials.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
But as with most things, they start with a thought and we should take our thoughts captive which produces feelings and this will stop it before it even gets started. God wants you to trust Him when you face those fiery darts.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Get rid of those thoughts from satanand place your faith in God’s Word and Him alone. Other attacks can be demonic spiritual and religious experiences you need to be careful of those. There is no doubt that demons oppress and tempt believers, and there are some states of mind that are fertile ground for temptation (Matthew 6:13; 1 Corinthians 7:5; Galatians 6:1). The Charismatic movement, with its emphasis on dreams and visions, feelings and experiences, and new revelation, is one form of Christian mysticism.
Because we have God’s completed Word, we are not to seek after dreams and visions or extra revelation from God. While it is possible for God to reveal Himself in dreams and visions today, we should beware of the subjective nature of feelings and spiritual impressions. It is vital to remember that anything Christian experiences must line up with the truth of the Bible. God will not contradict Himself. He is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). But there is no evidence to suggest that we are in any way bound by demons or rendered helpless in spiritual warfare.
If we are vigilant as the Lord commands, we will not be caught unprepared by satan’s attacks (1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 2:11). And we have the promise of God that His Holy Spirit is stronger than any of satan’s schemes (1 John 4:4). But don’t give him footholds to attack you when you sin pornography for example. God has given His children everything we need to stand firm against any spiritual attack of our enemy.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. 1 John 3:7
The apostle Paul calls this the “armor of God” (Ephesians 6:11). Some people blame every sin, every conflict, and every problem on demons they believe need to be cast out. The apostle Paul instructs Christians to wage war against the sin in themselves (Romans 6) and to wage war against the evil one (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Ministries that focus wholly on breaking demonic bondage often misapply biblical texts to support their teachings. Religion can easily turn into a type of spiritual bondage when we allow our fears of hell, judgment, or demonic activity to control us.
When we adopt a religious mindset that says, “If I don’t perform such and such a ritual, there will be bad consequences.” This is not biblical truth. Some have delved into an exploration of the spirit world to their own destruction.
We are to stand firm with the belt of truth, buckle on the breastplate of righteousness, wear on our feet the gospel of peace, hold up the shield of faith, wear the helmet of salvation, and wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God—the only offensive weapon in the whole armory.
The rest are defensive. What do these pieces of spiritual armor represent in spiritual warfare? We are to speak the truth against satan’s lies (fiery darts). We are to rest in the fact that we are declared righteous because of Christ’s sacrifice for us. We are to proclaim the gospel no matter how much resistance we receive. We are not to waver in our faith, no matter how fiercely we are attacked.
Our ultimate defense is the assurance (faith) we have of our salvation, an assurance that no spiritual force can take away. Our offensive weapon is the Word of God, not our own opinions and feelings.
Finally, we are to follow Jesus’ example in recognizing that some spiritual victories are only possible through prayer. Observe how Jesus handled direct attacks from satan when He was tempted by him in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11).Each temptation was answered the same way—with the words “It is written” and a quote from the Scriptures. Jesus knew the Word of the living God is the most powerful weapon against the temptations of the devil. If Jesus Himself used the Word to counter the devil, do we dare to use anything less?
Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
• Prayer is supremely important as we battle by the Spirit
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
1 Thessalonians 5:17Pray without ceasing.Fight the battle praising God: Praise the Lord with joy and rejoicing
James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.2 chronicles 20:19
A Christian without any passion for the lost or burning desire to be spent for Christ and the salvation of the world is living a lukewarm life or severely backslidden and could not be saved as well.
“And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.”
This passion and commitment come when our hearts are fully surrendered to Christ.
“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”
A good example; the apostle Paul had every excuse not to witness because he was an apostle but he still did witness.
But he prayed,
”and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak”
Do you qualify to be a witness for Christ? take a look at the qualifications that you can find in scriptures.
**1 Corinthians 2:1-3**
“And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, as you can see from these verses you do qualify to be a witness for Christ.”
Just determine to be a true and faithful witness even if your scared. If we’re Christians followers of Jesus we will be fishers of men.
**Matthew 4:19** And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
You may not feel brave when you do it but true courage is when you have fear but do it anyway.
“But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”
You need to have the zeal of God make it a matter of earnest prayer to God lukewarmness in our love for God is a great insult to Jesus and if you don’t love God with your heart, soul, mind, and strength you definitely should repent.
If you don’t have the zeal of God eating you up and you’re not hot for Him you’re a backslider in a heart filled with your own ways basically your not part of the body of Christ. Remember all He did for you on the cross.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Who wouldn’t be interested in everlasting life and if they won’t hear pray for them.”
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot * bear fruit of itself unless * it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless * you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing *.
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever * you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.”
**1 John 4:18**
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.”
Have great love and passion for God that will help you out of your fear. Even when scared and feeling dumb you can do it with Christ’s help. Have a true faith be faithful to be a witness don’t let yourself be chastened by God for not doing what He asked.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
We definitely should return the love of God and abound for the great work of the Lord and we should walk in His footsteps.
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?
“Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.”
It is more blessed to give than to receive; give everyone the gospel.
Thanks to getting on fire for God, which I used as an outline for some of this.

Heavenly Father, Your Warrior Prepares for Battle.
Today I claim victory over the enemy by putting on the Whole Armor of God!
1) I put on the Belt of Truth.
May I stand firm in the truth of your word so I will not be a victim of the enemy’s lies.
Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days. Isaiah 39:8
2) I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness.
May it guard my heartagainst evil so I will remain pure and holy, protected under the blood of Jesus Christ. I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
3) I put on the Sandals of Peace.
May I go out and proclaim the Good News of the Gospel so your peace will shine through me and be a light to all I encounter.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:14-15
4) I take the Shield of Faith.
May I be ready to deflect the enemy fiery darts of doubt, denial, and deceit so I will not be vulnerable to spiritual defeat.
He staggered not at the promise of Godthrough unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; Romans 4:20
5) I put on the Helmet of Salvation.
May I keep my mind focused on you so the enemy will not have a stronghold on my thoughts.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:2
6) I take the Sword of the Spirit. May the two-edged sword of Your Word be ready in my hands so I can use it to take authority over the enemy.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercingeven to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
By faith, your Warrior has put on the Whole Armor of God.
I am prepared to live this day in Spiritual Victory.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SALVATION MANY THINK THEY ARE SAVED AND ARE NOT.
This is an outline to help share, But God may have you do something different depending on His leading. It is imperative that we need to be led and directed by the Holy Spirit, as to when to speak, what to speak, and how to say it and most importantly how to live the message.
Please pray before starting.
I would like to share some Good News with you and it starts with God
GOD IS THE CREATOR
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
God is the Creator He made everything there is, the Bible says in
Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
1) We think in are minds God revolves around us that’s not what the Bible says, the Bible says the heavens the earth and us were here to, glorify and please Him. As the Divine Creator, He has the right to do what He wants that is His prerogative.
The 1st point is as the Creator He creates for His pleasure and purpose to do whatever He wants with His creation. If you want to know what your purpose for life is it’s to, glorify Him to please Him so then everything belongs to the Lord.
Example: There was a young preacher going to a country church and in the sermon, he preached how God created everything. All things belong to Him and we are merely managers and stewards, there was a very wealthy farmer listening to the sermon that day thinking he would educate the young preacher. So he invited him home after the service for lunch and why his wife prepared the meal he gave him a tour of the farm, lands, equipment, and barns. He said to the young preacher, young man do you really believe all this belongs to God look what I have accumulated. Don’t you agree this belongs to me and the young preacher said to him this statement, ask me in a hundred years from now?
The point was well made the farmer understood it, were just merely caretakers and what we have doesn’t really belong to us it belongs to God. Because He is the Creator of everything, therefore, it belongs to Him, He has the right of ownership.
The second point is since It belongs to Him He can do whatever He wants with It that’s the right of any inventor, creator or maker.
Example: There’s a beautiful bookcase I own and made out of solid cherry, let us suppose at the conclusion of making one of these bookcases. I decided I could do better I wasn’t pleased with it, so I’m going to destroy what was made and start over and my friend walks up as I get ready to douse it with kerosene. Then I lit the match my friend says wait a minute, you can’t do this to this bookcase it’s too beautiful give it to me.
Should I stop immediately and help you load my bookcase in the back of your pickup truck, no I don’t have to do that why! because it’s mine I made it. I have the prerogative as a maker to do whatever I want to do with it, you see God as the Creator has the same prerogative with whatever He made. Because everything He, made is for Him that’s the beginning of the Good News because everything has a purpose and that purpose is what God gives it because He made it.
GOD IS HOLY
2) He is our Creator that is holy, He made everything for Himself we belong to Him and He can do whatever He wants with us. He wants us to be holy because He is holy, He demands it from all His creation.
1 Peter 1:15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;
The scripture goes on to say
Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God,
and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
This says God is holy and we are not holy, there is a separation between us and God.
What do we mean when we say God is holy?
He is good and pure! we think that about holiness but the meaning is that God is all together different from you and me. He is the Creator we’re His creation He’s going to be different not only from us but from His angels He made. He is so all together in a different class or category nothing is like Him in all the universe. You can’t just say God is like this and point to it or like him or her. Because it is not true but there is a part of us like God because we were created in His Image there is a likeness some similitude. But that doesn’t mean God is like us He is an absolutely perfect being completely satisfied in Himself. He needs nothing you can see how He is, holy and different from anybody else, He has no needs He doesn’t need us or His creation He doesn’t need the angels to praise Him. He is the Great God Who is totally happy with Himself and can do it without sin. What doe’s this have to do with you and me, this! He has commanded you to be, holy also to be like Him, He will measure us by this standard, perfection. The standard is not the Ten Commandments or you going to church or being religious the standard is you to be just like God, holy. The Bible says:
1 Peter 1:16B “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
That is the commandment He has given to all His, creation also remember He is the Creator He, has the privilege to do that. He can make that, command of us and be, perfectly right of that demand.
Are you holy like God?
You and I stand before Him that is the criteria He will judge us. Not that we did good things or being moral, law-abiding or obeyed the Ten Commandments. When you stand before God the one question will be this!
Were you like God?
That’s the only way you can get into heaven.
1 Peter 1:16 because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
GOD IS JUST
3) The Good News is that God is our Creator and He is holy.
The third point of our story is God is just the Bible says: Who keeps loving kindness for thousands, Who forgives iniquity, transgression, and sin;
Yes, He does but we have to stop there and clarify. If you know anything about the Good News of Jesus Christ you know that is part of the story but that is towards the end of the story and if you get your facts out of sequence the conclusion can be different. The Bible also says:
Exodus 34:7 yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”
He can’t wink at your sin because He is just, or ignore it He does forgive but doesn’t clear the guilty or just excuse your sin because He is just. When this verse occurred Moses was asking God to show him His glory. He said show me more of this divine excellence, this holiness about You that is so different from anybody I’ve ever known show me more of it. If God doe’s He is declaring this about Himself that He does forgive but He also doesn’t clear the guilty In other words He doesn’t excuse your sin. The book of Psalms says:
Psalm 96:13B For He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness And the peoples in His faithfulness.
Why because He is just, a lot of people misunderstand this about the God of the Bible. A lot of people think the Old Testament God is just waiting to be wrathful and vengeful just waiting to get them. Then we come to the New Testament and God has had some miraculous change He’s gotten kinder and gentler we see Jesus loving and merciful. That’s actually not true God does not change the Bible say’s He is unchangeable. That is part of His holiness, His separation Him being different all together, the New Testament says:
Romans 6:23A For the wages of sin is death,
You sin against Him you will have to pay it can’t be any other way God is absolutely Just let me illustrate this:
Example: Let’s say you leave your home and go on a short trip and when you return someone has broken into your home. They have done unspeakable things to your wife and children, stolen your valuable possessions and killed your family. Within hours of the crime, the alleged perpetrator is arrested and on the day of arraignment your thinking of the unspeakable things he has done. The judge reads the accusations against him and asks him how do you plead?. The man confesses and says I did it, I am guilty the judge then proceeds with the evidence presented. There’s eye witness testimony from neighbors that saw him running from your home at the hour it happened. Then there is the DNA evidence this guy is the man he is guilty he confessed. But the judge says this to him you know I am a Christian and want to be like my God merciful, kind and forgiving. So, therefore, I drop the charges against you, your free to go.
Tell me how would you feel? What do you think your reaction would be? I know what it would be every ounce of what is right every sense of justice in you would cry foul this is wrong this can’t be happening. Now not only is the alleged criminal who confessed to the crime guilty but the judge is guilty. Because he did not serve justice well he did not uphold the law. He, therefore, would be unholy because he is not just. Friend! God is holy and therefore He is just and He has to punish sin including yours.
GOD IS MERCIFUL
4) He is merciful and desires to forgive sin.
Psalm 103:8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness.
God is forgiving He forgave King David of murder and adultery.
Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live.”
God is just but He wants to forgive you and is perfect, He doe’s both. God is pleading with you Saying I am just, perfect and holy but I must administer justice. In Gods’s, heart He wants to forgive you to live not to die, God likes being merciful not administering justice. Is there a conflict-ion in God is He mixed up and doesn’t know what to do half wrath and half kind. Are the two fighting each other depending on the day, He’s either wrathful or kind to you. Not at all, He is perfect in all ways there is no war in God. It is are dilemma hard for us to comprehend how God could be both merciful and just or forgiving yet upholding law and order.
Example: There was a good friend lieutenant Greg he was a friend of General Stacey. It came down to General Stacey having to sign an order of execution. There was a struggle within him he cared for him this was a good friend for a long time. He has been a great lieutenant who followed orders till now. Inside of him, he wanted to grant clemency but there was the side of him that had to be a General who carried out justice. For the cause of greater good, he sided with justice and signed the execution order. But here’s a point of this story he was a mortal with flaws like you and me. But he had the ability to have two different fighting emotions and senses within him. But he still sided with the greater cause of good God doe’s not have a competition between these two attributes mercy and justice. God will judge sin God will find it in the greater good of His glory and His universe creation to dispense justice against you but at the same time, He pleads and gives you hope if you will turn. Why die He takes no pleasure in your death turn and live so you can receive His mercy.
Proverbs 28:13 He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.
So the decision God’s justice or mercy comes to you my friend how will you choose?
MAN IS A SINNER
5) Man is a sinner and cannot save himself.
Romans 3:9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin;
The color of your skin, ethnicity or religion makes no difference as far as sin goes we are all sinners and cannot save ourselves.
Romans 3:10 – 12 as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; 11 There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; 12 All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one.”
We don’t do good as the scripture say’s because we aren’t good are very nature has a flaw, Where doe’s it come from you ask! The answer is: In the garden where God made Man and Woman are first parents! Adam and Eve. Something happened they rebelled they chose not to live according to there Creators Design. They chose for themselves the result was there nature changed. They were considered fallen and every one of there decedents has received there very fallen and sinful nature. Right up to this very day you and I have that very nature and it is natural to us. Are very nature is not to obey God and not to submit to the Creators will. We do not want to live for His, purposes but are own we are selfish in nature. Are old nature through sin is to live now for ourselves.
Romans 2:8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.
Sin is coming short of His glory which is perfect in nature.
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
The good or religious deeds that we do are for ourselves it is flawed because it’s not for God’s glory. Everything we do must be for His glory.
So there’s a problem we need to change our nature. Another point is we are sinners and can’t save ourselves. We can’t change are nature we can change are a behavior many times but we can’t change who we are.
Romans 3:20 because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
The more we try the more we break His laws. Sometimes we keep them but there for ourselves are own sake or glory.
Ephesians 2:12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
We have to understand we are hopeless theirs nothing we can do to save ourselves. We can be the most religious person even a Pastor or a Bible teacher. There has to be a moment when you understand your hopeless with no hope in this world. Somebody Who designed you has to intervene to save you.
WHO CHRIST IS
6) He is the Infinite God-Man! He is our hope! He is the answer for us. He is God Himself and He provided an answer for our sin. Jesus Christ is our only hope, people say Who is He! He was a great world philosopher a religious leader like Mohammad. Some think He Was nothing more but this contradicts His own teachings. This would be true if He were only a man but He claimed to be Deity God Himself. If He was a mighty leader claiming to be God and He wasn’t. Then He would be a con-artist, liar nothing like a leader should be. The Bible says that He was God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Who is the Word? It is Jesus Christ. This scripture talks about the beginning of creation. He was there at creation. He was there even before that.
John 1:2-3 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him, nothing came into being that has come into being.
He pre-existed even before His earthly birth in Bethlehem. He is the Second Person of the Triune God. He is the Son of God. God offered for us His only begotten Son as a remedy to are sin problem. So if He is the Infinite God-Man! What are you going to do with that information? If He is your Creator and the Infinite God-Man. How do we identify with Him with what He has done?
WHAT CHRIST DID
7) He Christ Jesus became are substitutionary death Who solved are sin problem and brought us to a right relationship with God.
Romans 3:24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
The Apostle Paul says it is a free gift. Then how do we get this free gift when He is a God of justice? How can that be when we earlier said God will not ignore sin. In the scripture it says ( being justified ) What does it mean to be justified? It means God accepts you as perfectly clean your complete in His presence. The scripture also says in the words ( in Christ Jesus ) in Christ both mercy and justice have been satisfied God will freely forgive you and accept you because of what Christ did. What did He do?
Romans 3:25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;
The word propitiation what does it mean: God gave a substitution sacrifice on your behalf. In other words, you should be punished for your sins. But instead, God gave us His Son and put Him on a cross to die a shameful death and suffer what you and I deserve God’s wrath. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem in a stable that was the beginning of our solution. No, you have to go to Jerusalem to the hill an old rugged cross where God literally slays and judges His perfect innocent Son for your sake. We see that Jesus was sinless and perfect in every way. When He was put on the cross God placed every one of your sins every thought, attitude in rebellion against God. God placed them on His Son, though innocent and dispensed, holy justice on Him. He treated Him as if He committed those sins and dealt with Him as a lawbreaker instead of us. So then God could declare us innocent that is what propitiation means.
Here is an example: Let’s say you anger your husband and he’s been difficult. You try to figure some solution. You go to the store buy a gift to have them to forget about the anger so you propitiate it. Jesus was the substitute sacrifice where Gods anger has been completely put away and His justice is satisfied.
Romans 3:25B This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; 26 for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
His justice was satisfied now He can be perfectly just and legal to be merciful to you. His mercy, truth, and justice have come together in Jesus. He is the answer to Gods mercy and justice. what, He asks you to do is put your faith ( trust ) in Him.
WHAT IS FAITH
8) Simply put faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Trusting in Jesus Christ is not trusting in someone else your pastor or church and most importantly certainly not yourself. Your confidence is completely in Jesus Christ for eternal life, eternal life is not just life after death it has to do with it but there is more. When the Bible speaks of eternal life it speaks of not just duration of time but the quality of life. Eternal life is the life of Jesus as the Bible says, so what happens when you trust in Him, His very life is infused into you. He comes to live within you and that has radical implications on how you live from now on once saved day to day. Trusting in Christ is more than just intellectual ascent and human belief there’s a committal of something to the Person of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Example: For example, if you’re trusting me you’re having to commit something to me otherwise you’ll just believe I am trustworthy.
To Trust in Christ means you have committed something into His care and into His keeping. What is that! it’s you, it’s just not for the forgiveness of sins or life after death and heaven, it’s with your life now. The Bible says
Romans 1:17 For in it ( the Gospel ) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; ( beginning to end ) as it is written, “but the righteous man shall live by faith.”
Meaning: That justification being right with God is being revealed from faith to faith.
I’m not just forgiven by faith I live by it, my life now is fueled by a trusting in Christ for something and again more than just life after death. I’m trusting Him with my life now, you see He made some promises to you and me. He said if we will trust Him with our entire being that He would take my life your life and turn everything to are good. He would conform us to the image of His Own Person, He would do things with us that is just impossible for us to comprehend even now. He could make are life count eternally forever to His glory and to are good. So when a Man or a Woman trusts in Jesus there not just trusting for a place in heaven. There trusting that God will take something of there life and make something beautiful out of it. Are you trusting Christ with your life or have you just made a commitment to Him made a decision for Him. You’re doing your best to keep the commandments and do what you think God requires of you. Listen the Bible says
Romans 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
It is faith in a Person that saves a believing soul, not faith in a particular philosophy or a code of rules. It’s not what you do, it’s what He has done and you’re committing your whole life now and forever even after death. If I really believe He is Who He said He is and He can do what He promised and that He is the Supreme God the only True God. If I really believe in Him If I really trust in Him then I’ll see Him be as He said He is. Faith knows that no matter what the situation, in our lives or someone else’s, that the Lord is working in it.He is the Supreme Person of your life it will make you willing to lose your life for His sake because His life is much more valuable than yours.
WHAT REPENTANCE IS
9) Let’s discuss repentance which is deeply connected to the word faith which we just talked about.
Basically there like two sides of a coin no genuine faith without genuine repentance. But unfortunately today the word repentance is absent from are vocabulary more used in the past than today but it really is important. You can’t have genuine salvation without this repentance and so what does repentance mean let me begin by explaining what it isn’t. It isn’t just feeling sorry or guilty many people believe they have truly repented of there sin because they felt bad. They were in a church they heard the Gospel they believe they have turned to Christ believed upon Him and repented of there sins. But the Bible warns us there are two kinds of sorrow that can motivate a profession of faith. One is a Godly sorrow the other is a worldly sorrow the Bible says in:
2 Corinthians 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
So God creates a lasting change but worldly sorrow alleviates the conscious and leaves you in your sin. So just feeling bad, feeling remorse or feeling guilt about sin, wrong actions, mistakes, and failures is not necessarily genuine repentance. So what is it! well, genuine repentance is the turning and hating of sin, turning from sin, hating your sin turning toward Christ. It involves three components of your personality, mind, the heart, and the will. Let’s deal with the mind, genuine sorrow that produces Godly genuine repentance first affects the mind. The mind hears the truth and whereas the mind had been blind to the truth did not agree with it. There’s now an acknowledgment an agreement with it not only doe’s the mind agree with it but it affects the heart and brings a change. Where you once loved your sin, relished it, protected it, defended it, genuine repentance no longer defends or protects or relishes it. But really now dislikes it wants to be free from it, there’s disdain, there’s a dislike for sin and unless that’s really there in your life you may have felt sorry or guilty but you’ve not truly repented. Now when the intellect the mind and the heart come together in genuine repentance the third component has to follow and it’s your will. There’s a change in actions you no longer live the way you once lived, you no longer embrace that world view there’s been a 180-degree turn from your sin. Let me summarize what I believe is genuine repentance:
A) An acknowledgment and agreement that God has not been first place in your life.
Listen to what the Bible says:
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Please stop and don’t jump to a conclusion, if we confess sounds like saying that God I’m sorry your right, I’m wrong I messed up. But the word confess there is not really dealing with just verbal exclamation, but rather with an inward agreement.
The word literally means: To say the same thing as God.
There’s an agreement with God whereas before there wasn’t, you believed you were justified, you believe you were okay. But now you agree with God that He is right and you are wrong.
B) There is a reception you literally receive Jesus Christ as the (Lord) director of your life the controller.
The Bible says:
Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
Notice how Jesus is described as the Lord, Jesus asked this question:
Luke 6:46 “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
In other words, Jesus wants you to pay attention that if you are to be His followers you have to submit to His authority.
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
What does it mean to deny yourself here is exactly what Jesus meant:
It means you deny yourself the right to trust in yourself, you now place all of your confidence on how to live your life in Christ Jesus. He does become the director of your life, that is one genuine evidence that you repented. But there’s one more:
C) Be willing to obey whatever Jesus directs you to do.
If He’s truly the director then there has to be obedience, listen To what the Apostle John who followed Jesus said:
John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Where did this come from? well, he was quoting directly from the Lord Master Jesus Christ. John new well that many people can confess to be believers followers of Christ. But if their life doe’s not change and the course of there life doe’s not redirect and follow Him in obedience. Then Godly sorrow really hasn’t taken place, John went on to say in His first Epistle.
Here’s the grand evidence:
1 John 2:3-5 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God Has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:
So the question today has genuine repentance occurred in your life or have you just made a decision. So you joined a church and now you go to church on Sunday morning if that or has the whole direction of your life truly changed. Is there something internally driving you to hate even when you still sin today, create a misery and a turning to Christ in repentance in change. Friend without that there is no genuine repentance, may God grant you by the Holy Spirit repentance.
10) Everything that has been shared up to this point is an explanation of the grace of God.
You see salvation is just that it’s a grace, grace means it’s a gift, you don’t earn it you didn’t deserve it in fact you couldn’t if you tried. All the religious efforts of God’s greatest champions couldn’t have saved them they were given the same gift of grace. The Bible says:
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
God gifts you with salvation you don’t save yourself. The Bible says:
Ephesians 2:9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Going to church we are living in a sad day when people believe there saved because they do those things. Jesus completely showed us a more radical way He explained to a very religious man of His own day a preacher. That it was not his religion that was going to save him He said to him.
John 3:3-7 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus *said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of
God.6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
Jesus was equating this new birth with physical birth and just like when you were born you didn’t help your Mother in that process. You caused her probably great difficulty there’s really nothing you and I do in the new birth process. It’s an act of God, an act of the Holy Spirit It’s a supernatural thing can I say it this way it’s a miracle, God has to perform a miracle on you. Jesus again to that same preacher Nicodemus said It’s a mystery, it’s just like the wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it but you can not tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit the question is then how do I get God to do this for me. My friend you don’t have to worry about getting God to do this for you He wants to do it. Why did He send His Son to die for sinners?, Why would the love that He had in His heart compel Him to rescue you people like you and me?. No, the question is not doe’s God want to save me, the question is do you want to be saved? and if you do I believe God will. Is there anything for you to do? well, we already answered that faith and repentance.
WHAT MUST I DO
11) One day the Apostle Paul had been preaching in a city called Philippi and He and his partner Silas were arrested and put into prison. Do to a great miracle an earthquake occurred and freed them all from the prison and the jailer bowed before the feet of Paul asking him. What he must do to be saved? and so I’m sure you have the same question and we talked about it already. Just like the Philippian jailer, Paul had told him to “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ”, faith, trust Him, repent turn from your sins let me give you an example of what that looks like or could look like in your life. In
2 Corinthians 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
Acknowledge and agree God has not been first place in your life. The Bible says:
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Confession here doesn’t mean saying I’m sorry as we covered under the title repentance, no it means to acknowledge and agree with God what He say’s about your sin. It’s to feel in your heart exactly the way God feels about your present situation. It’s to agree with Him that He has the right to do whatever He wants to do. He can save you whether He wants to save you or not you are completely at His mercy.
The Bible then says to receive Jesus Christ as the director ( “Lord” ) of your life. He becomes the most important Person with the authority to direct your life. The Bible says:
Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
No in the day which that was written if a man stood up publicly and said I want to be a follower of Jesus it was instant persecution and problems. He could lose his job, his income, his own family would often disown him and many people were arrested thrown in prison, and paid the ultimate price with there life. No confession here in Romans 10 verse 9 means your willing to place yourself under the leadership of Christ. Your submitting to Him and pledging your allegiance to His life to do the very third thing. Your willing to obey Him in whatever He instructs you to do that’s what a Christian is a person who has given his life to Christ because they trust Him to do with them what is best. Jesus one day said to those who profess that He was the Lord, He said.
Luke 6:46 “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I Say?
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
Consider the cost to be My disciple
Luke 14:25-27 Now large crowds were going along with Him; and He turned and said to them,26 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.27 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
Love for Jesus has to be the first priority so that even love for your own family can only be compared to hatred. Love Jesus so much more than anything else and be ready to leave everything behind even our own lives For Him otherwise we can’t be his disciple.
Luke 14:28-33 For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him,30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’31 Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?32 Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.33 So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.
People do not consider what they are doing. I urge you to consider the cost of being a disciple of Jesus. Are you prepared to forsake everything if necessary even your physical life for Jesus? Do you understand how great His Love and Mercy Is? He subjected Himself to the death you were condemned to die and took the punishment on Himself in your stead. That the path to eternity might be paved for you In His presence. Do you comprehend that gift? will you lose everything for Christ and forsake all you have.
Discipleship is costly you can confess to be a Christian, you can say Jesus is Lord but if you’re not doing what He commanded you to do. Well then see you don’t have true saving faith, you’re not trusting Him you’re not committing your life to His instruction and commandments. But if you will do that Jesus gave you a guarantee He said this.
John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
The apostle John gave us the true test of whether or not a man has been born again he said:
1John 2:3-5 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but whoever keeps His Word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.
Well, my friend, I hope that God has given you insight into what He does require of you. Simply put He requires you to follow Him in childlike faith, trusting Him alone for your life. God invites you to a change in your sin status from a position of alienation to a state of forgiveness. Therefore ” take heed how you hear “, one’s response to the Gospel in this life it is the biggest decision you will make because at your death there will be no opportunity to embrace the truth that was given in the Gospel.
John 7:37B “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.
Let’s pray God will do that supernatural work and give you understanding and responsive hearts even now and that you will be born again and know the love of Christ.
Longing for God’s love through Jesus Christ, I went down before God on my knees to ask with begging Him to make my life new and change it.
2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
info – It’s a comforting that we can trust God, the Spirit of God to do the work through the word of God in the lives of those with whom we share the Gospel.
The Bible talks about sobriety, intoxication and intentional harm to the body. Lives are filled with various forms of temptations. In 1 Corinthians, we are warned temptations can or will overpower us, but we’re given resources to overcome temptations.
It’s our forgiving God’s Words and Power of God that will win over our sin. Where people can find encouragement and strength to overcome these cravings. Drugs change the brain in ways that make quitting hard, even for those who want to.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 CORINTHIANS 10:13)
Substance abuse can be one of the temptations that this verse can refer to. Drug and alcohol abuse is relatively common on this day. It’s difficult for many to bear but God provides a way out.
What Is drug-alcohol addiction?
Addiction is a sin characterized by drug seeking and use that is compulsive, or difficult to control, despite harmful consequences.
The initial decision to take drugs is voluntary for most people, but repeated drug use can lead to brain changes that challenge a sin addicted person’s self-control and interfere with their ability to resist intense urges to take drugs.
These brain changes can be persistent, which is why drug which is sin addiction is considered a “relapsing” disease but is sin in God’s eyes.
But He has the only real solution to being free—people in recovery from drug use are at increased risk for returning to drug use even after years of not taking the drug. Because of temptations and people that they would be around from there past usage or other reasons.
This brain destruction often leads to the person becoming less and less able to derive pleasure from other things they once enjoyed, like food, social activities or other areas.
“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” EPHESIANS 5:18
“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.” Titus 2:3
“Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.” PROVERBS 20:1
These scriptures say that God hates sin and want us to not be led astray by these mind-altering substances.
Long-term use also causes changes in other brain chemical systems and circuits as well, affecting functions that include:
Despite being aware of these harmful outcomes, many people who use drugs continue to take them, which is the nature of sin > addiction.
People who attend church services are not as likely to drink or ill-use. People who don’t go to religious services can be five times likely to try hard drugs and seven times likely to drink.
Attending church services helps to act as a protective factor for chemical dependency, in one study, it promotes values to lead a free life and encouraging abstinence.
Learn What Bible Says About Drunkards and Drunkenness:
Alcohol is one area of most abused drugs in the time period of the Bible as it was written and during those times and today as well. A lot of Bible verses refer to drunkenness and drinkers.
ROMANS 13:13 “Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.”
1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-11 “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards
nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”
GALATIANS 5:19-21 “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
These scriptures say in interpretation that being addicted to a substance of alcohol is sin, but the sin is forgiven if you repent through Christ from alcoholism and other sins.
The verses also say being drunk is sin and you will not inherit the kingdom of God if you participate in those sins, and we should stop sinning (i.e., stop drinking or drugs), God can and will forgive you with proper repentance.
What Bible Says With Inebriation, Intoxication:
People say the Bible’s condemnation abuse of alcohol is against all forms of abuse of these things. If the term drunkenness is interpreted as a general state of intoxication to any drug, then the Bible clearly admonishes drug use.
The Bible is not straightforward about drug abuse, but scriptures apply but is very clear about drinking.
“So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.” 1 THESSALONIANS 5:6-8
“Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.” 1 PETER 1:13
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” 1 PETER 5:8
The scripture wants us sober and not to be intoxicated because of sin. Research documents are that alcohol and drugs contribute to your not being self-controlled and increase rates of unsafe behaviors and violence. Many are sins and the scripture says to avoid what tempts us to disobey.
“If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.” MATTHEW 18:8-9
“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.” PROVERBS 22:3
The bible verses are a warning to us against bad choices that will be sin. Addiction is sin and not a disease, which means it is a choice for people who are abusing, but it is hard to resist it.
These Bible verses provide inspiration to overcoming the power of addiction with faith in Jesus and the Spirit of the Lord it can be overcome. To no how to receive faith in Jesus Christ and receive the Spirit of the Lord – Linkhttps://onlyhopeyouhave.com/2012/10/04/494/
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
In the state of Washington, there is a large area called the Scab-lands. The area received this name because it is mostly a large barren area of solid rocks. The Channeled Scablands are a barren, relatively soil-free landscape in Eastern Washington, scoured clean by a flood. They are a geologically unique erosion feature in the U.S. state of Washington. This area has many channels and canyons some of these canyons are hundreds of feet deep and extend over fifteen miles in length. The term scabland refers to an area that has experienced fluvial erosion resulting in the loss of loess and other soils, leaving the land barren. The Channeled Scablands have a rectangular cross section, with flat plateaus and steep canyon sides, and are spread over immense areas of Eastern Washington. The morphology of the scablands is butte-and-basin. The area that encompasses the Scablands has been estimated between 1,500 and 2,000 square miles (3,900 and 5,200 km2), though those estimates still may be too conservative. The standard thought was these channels and canyons formed was by a long process. Rivers running through the Scablands formed these formations. J Harlan Bretz argued for a catastrophic event as the cause of the many channels and canyons. They were created by a Floods that swept periodically across Eastern Washington and down the Columbia River Plateau. Geologist J Harlen Bretz coined the term in a series of papers in the 1920s. The debate over the origin of the Scablands raged for four decades and is one of the great debates in the history of earth science but they were proved wrong. The Scablands are also important to planetary scientists as perhaps the best terrestrial analog for the Martian outflow channels. However, when invited to speak by the Geological Society of Washington D.C, his idea was rejected and ridiculed because all the geologists agreed that it requires a long and slow process. After J Harlan Bretz’s presentation at the Geological Society. Every person expresses their disapproval.
A field trip in 1952 by geologists explained in a major change of opinion. The evidence observed by those geologists appeared in two major publication. Both articles produced arguments in favor of Bretz’s original claim of catastrophic formation of the channels in the Scablands. It required 15 more years until the geologists accepted the idea that canyons can be formed by catastrophic events in a short period.
Bretz conducted research and published many papers during the 1920s describing the Channeled Scablands. His theories of how they were formed required short but immense floods (500 cubic miles of water), for which Bretz had no explanation. Bretz’s theories met with vehement opposition from geologists of the day, who tried to explain the features with uniformitarian theories.
J.T. Pardee first suggested in 1925 to Bretz that the draining of a glacial lake could account for flows of the magnitude needed. Pardee continued his research over the next 30 years, collecting and analyzing evidence that eventually identified Lake Missoula as the source of the Missoula Floods and creator of the Channeled Scablands. I also suggest that this flood was the Genesis Flood of Noah’s Ark. That is evidence supporting wrong dates around the earth.
Pardee’s and Bretz’s theories were accepted only after decades of painstaking work and fierce scientific debate. Research on open channel hydraulics in the 1970s put Bretz’s theories on solid scientific ground. In 1979 Bretz received the highest medal of the Geological Society of America, the Penrose Medal, to recognize that he had developed one of the great ideas in the earth sciences
The long ages are not necessary for Scablands and other areas where canyons are they can form quickly. So think of this when they say rocks are millions of years old. They could have formed just as quickly. I hope this will help you to consider the earth is not as old as they say and the Genesis Flood is the truth. If we interpret the Genesis Flood to be a local flood, then God’s everlasting covenant is meaningless because we have many devastating local floods throughout the world and they do not wipe out all the animals. The only interpretation that is consistent with God’s everlasting covenant is that it was a worldwide Flood. Since the fossil records have proven that it was worldwide. What then is my point! I am pointing to the fact that the flood was real.
Genesis 9:8-11 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
The Genesis Flood was a judgment on the world’s sin. Sin will always bring death. Jesus talked about the Flood. This world mocks God. This world system loves to sin. God hates sin and must punish sin. People love the baby Jesus but I have to tell you something. He will bring judgment on this world. If a person refuses to repent and follow Jesus then the person will face the wrath of God. The world will be surprised when the wrath of God is upon this world.
Matthew 24:37-39 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Vast fossils graveyards are found all over the world. Sometimes there are thousands of creatures fossilized together. How does something get fossilized? It doesn’t occur on a long and slow process. An organism must be covered rapidly by the sediments to keep out scavengers and oxygen. It would require a catastrophic event to bury thousands of animals and what evidence of the flood do you think you would find that would be consistent with the Biblical description of the Genesis Flood. We would expect to find rock layers with billions of animal and plants buried fast.
Genesis 7:19 “And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered”.
We find these graveyards throughout the world. Large dinosaur graveyards have been discovered in New Mexico, Canada, Wyoming, Tanzania, Belgium, Mongolia, Gobi Desert of Central Asia and Spain where one of the largest graveyards discovered. The Spain graveyard had eight different dinosaur species including several kinds of the world’s largest dinosaur, 8000 found to date and under excavation in 2007. There are many mass burials of other creatures such as mammoths, lions, elephants, horses and various rodents in Alaska. How do so many creatures all get buried and fossilized in one location? It would require a large catastrophic event to bury so many animals.
Genesis 7:21 “And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man. 22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died”.
These fossils graveyards are found worldwide and what evidence of the flood do you think you would find that would be consistent with the Biblical description of the Genesis Flood. There are countless examples of marine and land creatures buried together. This wouldn’t happen unless oceans rose and went over the continents causing the flood, corals, and animals don’t live together. There’s only one explanation a flood worldwide. Think of a jellyfish on the beach the sun would destroy it. in order for it to be fossilized, it would have to be buried quickly. The Genesis Flood was a judgement on the world’s sin. Sin will always bring death.
Genesis 6:5 “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Jesus talked about the Flood”.

There is no perfect culture, so people will steal from others. The countries of this world need good laws. Every culture will have dishonest people. People steal for many reasons. There needs to be laws that protect the people. The courts need good laws and honest Judges. Judges need truth in the heart. God knows best so we can know this law.
‘You shall thus observe My statutes and keep My judgments, so as to carry them out, that you may live securely on the land.
Follow my decrees and be careful to obey My laws, and you will live safely in the land. If two people go to a Judge. The Judge must have good knowledge of the law and be honest in the way the case is handled. The problem is this. The countries don’t have a good law or the Judge is corrupt. The cure is this. We need the Bible as the foundation for our law and Judges that fear God.
“Can anyone teach knowledge to God, since He judges even the highest?
In our lives, we need the same idea. We need to know the Bible and apply the Bible in our lives. We need honest hearts towards Jesus. The Holy Spirit Who God sends to live in us and help us will conform our sinful nature to His will. This will work in the countries of the world to and every person that submits to the Bible and God.
2 Chronicles 1:10
Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?”
In order to receive the Holy Spirit in you must read gospel and ask Jesus to save you.
